All about Upbound
A – An Upbound Journal
B – An open Journal showing plain paper and pages from the original publication
C – An open Journal showing a unique bookmark made from the spine of the original book
D – Top View – The wire binding allows Journals, Notebooks & Sketchbooks to be opened completely (almost 360 degrees)
Upbound Books typically use 120 – 150gsm quality paper – ideal for writing, sketching and even for watercolours.
Accessible by Design
Upbound books lay flat by design, making them much easier to use than conventionally bound books, for anyone with arthritis or limited use of their hands.
Upbound Book example
An Upbound Book is an old unwanted book, upcycled and revalued.
Upbound books are individually and uniquely created from original publications. The spines are removed and selected pages from the original book are interspersed with a quality reclaimed paper. The original covers are retained and reinforced.
The books are then wire bound (using the best wire binding available) into these very unique Journals, Notebooks, Sketch books & Diaries.
Upbound books are available with lined paper, ribbon markers and unique bookmarks made from the book’s spine. Custom diaries are available in a choice of seasons, languages or even multilingual.
Revalued Upbound Books and Journals are often transformed into treasured items. They certainly make fantastic gifts, when we first created them in 2008, we were astonished by the excitement many customers showed upon first discovering an Upbound Book.
Upbound Anything!
The concept of Upbound – if you can imagine it as a cover of a book, than the chances are it can be made in to one.
